Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Eric’s Family Boycotts His Wedding, Steffy Thinks Quinn Forced Grandfather

On Thursday, July 2, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful continues Fan Choice Week Part 2: Love Conquers All. In today’s flashback episode from 2016, Eric Forrester (John McCook) renounces his family for bailing on his wedding to Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer). Quinn won’t allow Eric to marry her without the support of his family. It’s her fault the family didn’t show up.
Eric won’t let his family interfere with his choice to marry her. Eric believes that she has changed. Quinn inspires him with optimism and humor. Eric puts his foot down. There will be a wedding with Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) as their sole witness.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – The Family Gathers
The family gathers in Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) office at Forrester Creations. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) agrees with Ridge that Eric didn’t give them any choice but to boycott the wedding. Zende Forrester (Rome Flynn) fears they acted too harshly in not showing up for the ceremony. Thomas Forrester (Pierson Fode) suggests that they go over to the Forrester house and see if Eric is willing to talk. Steffy and Ridge stubbornly refuse to support Eric’s decision.
Thorne Forrester (Winsor Harmon) says that, as Eric’s best man, he should be there for his father. Ridge argues that what’s best for their father is to realize that Quinn should not be the next Mrs. Eric Forrester.
Quinn and Eric exchange vows. Eric promises to defend and protect her for the rest of his life. He believes in her and is going to spend his life making sure she gets the best of everything. Quinn calls Eric the catalyst for her to change. She wants to support him the way he has supported her. She promises to be steadfast and faithful. Eric and Quinn give each other rings as a symbol of their unending love and devotion. The priest pronounces Eric and Quinn’s husband and wife. They share a kiss as Mr. and Mrs. Eric Forrester. Quinn gives a hearty amen when the reverend says they’ll have a happy and strong marriage.
Ivy leaves the lovebirds alone to enjoy their celebration. She goes to Forrester Creations and blasts the family for abandoning Eric and Quinn. They broke Eric’s heart for no reason because he and Quinn went through with the wedding.
B&B Spoilers – Steffy Forrester Blames Quinn Forrester
Steffy believes Quinn forced Eric to marry her. Ivy says that Quinn told Eric not to go through with it because she didn’t want to be responsible for Eric being at odds with the family. Quinn makes Eric happy. Thorne and Thomas believe that the boycott was a mistake. Steffy worries that Eric did something destructive on impulse.
Eric is disappointed in his children and grandchildren. He was always there to cheer them on at their ballgames and recitals and then brought them into the business. He laments that they didn’t show up for him when he asked. Quinn goes upstairs to get ready for the honeymoon.
Eric tears open an envelope. Inside is a durable power of attorney with Ridge’s name on a sticky note.

Quinn comes down the stairs in a thin gown. Eric says they don’t need anyone else. They’re going to run the business together. Having each other is more than enough. Quinn doesn’t feel worthy of his love and admiration. She says that anyone who tries to hurt him will have to come through her. She’s appalled at the behavior of his family.
Eric has a gift for his bride. She’s stunned when she sees a portrait of herself hanging over the mantle.
