Bold and the Beautiful Recap Wednesday October 23: Steffy Joins Brother’s War Against Logans – Liam Bonds With Douglas

The Wednesday, October 23, 2019, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful opens with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and her father happily working side-by-side again at Forrester Creations. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) encourages Steffy to reach out to her brother, but she can’t forgive and forget his betrayal.

Where was sibling loyalty when he kept the secret about Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) from her and left Steffy with a hole in her heart? Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) not only betrayed her, but also used his own son.

Ridge lays the “family is everything” guilt trip on Steffy, reminding her how wonderful it was when Ridge, Steffy, and Thomas worked at Forrester as her grandparents intended.

Ridge and Steffy agree on one thing: Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) is way out of line in trying to take Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) from Thomas. Brooke doesn’t get to decide who raises Douglas.

Steffy says that Brooke and Ridge are on a collision course that could affect their marriage. Ridge laments that he and Brooke are on different sides concerning Thomas: he thinks Thomas is making progress and Brooke believes he’s irredeemable.

Thomas refuses the Logans’ pleas to hand them custody of Douglas. Thomas gives Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) pause when he says that hurting her is the biggest regret of his life. Hope is the only reason he would ever sign adoption papers. Thomas would do anything for her. She’s glad to hear that he’s working on bettering himself, but she’s still frightened to be around him.

Meanwhile, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) bonds with Douglas over video games but worries what will happen while Thomas is alone in the cabin with Hope. He warns Brooke not to rush into the adoption. Brooke fears Thomas could snap at any moment and they need to act quickly to protect Douglas. Liam grows uncomfortable as Brooke talks about his sweet little family with Hope, Beth, and Douglas and making that relationship legal.

Hope just wants to do what’s in the boy’s best interests. She and Douglas need the security that they won’t be ripped away from each other again. As Hope pleads her case, Thomas fantasizes about kissing her. He promises to consider letting her adopt his son. He will spend the rest of his life proving to her how much he regrets how he treated her and showing her how much he will always care about her.
