Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers and Recap Wednesday April 1: Ridge Chooses Shauna, Katie Kicks Bill To The Curb

The Wednesday, April 1, 2020, The Bold & the Beautiful opens with Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) twisting the knife. She says that Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) are over for good this time. Quinn demands that Brooke face the fact that the person responsible for pushing Ridge into Shauna Fulton’s (Denise Richards) arms is Brooke. Quinn wants to know what it is about arrogant Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) that keeps driving Brooke to him. Quinn is not buying Brooke’s pleas that she’s not in love with Bill and that they’ll never reunite.

Brooke can’t get Ridge to answer her calls. Quinn says that Ridge has probably already found the comfort he’s looking for with Shauna. Quinn’s best friend would never be unfaithful to Ridge the way Brooke was.

Brooke says that Quinn’s portrait over the mantle in the Forrester mansion is an insult to the woman who should be there: Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery). Quinn says that being married to Eric Forrester (John McCook) makes her the Forrester matriarch, not the portrait. Quinn dreams of sharing the title with Shauna when she marries Ridge. Brooke vows to stop Quinn and Shauna no matter what it takes.

Ridge is at a crossroads. He’s got a lot of decisions to make. He chooses to go to Vegas with Shauna. Being in love with Brooke hurts too much. The reason he and Shauna get along so well is that they don’t have baggage together. He says that his memories with Brooke aren’t enough to get past the scandals and her cheating. He can’t forgive Brooke’s dalliance with Bill.

Ridge won’t let Shauna go. Shauna doesn’t want Ridge to come to Vegas with her. Shauna puts her foot down. She refuses to be Ridge’s rebound. She won’t allow him to use her to get over his wife. Shauna confesses that she’s fallen hard for Ridge, but she wants more and is scared to get hurt when Ridge runs back to Brooke.

Ridge promises that he won’t break Shauna’s heart. He wants to find out more about Shauna, like where she grew up and where she raised Flo. If Shauna is going to Vegas, Ridge is coming too. Ridge kisses Shauna passionately.

Katie Logan (Heather Tom) packs her bags. She’s leaving Bill. Katie is exhausted from the excuses and rationalizations. Bill cheating again with Brooke is inevitable. Katie reminds Bill that he said nothing when Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) asked him if Katie was his one and only. At the time, Katie didn’t need to hear the words, because she thought she knew in her heart that she was his one and only. Now, after seeing him kiss Brooke, Katie doesn’t feel that she’s Bill’s one and only.

Katie doesn’t have time to waste shedding tears over Bill. He makes her feel like a fool for trusting his love. Bill pleads that he loves Katie and wants a life with her and Will Spencer (Finnegan George). They have made him a better man and a better father. He begs her not to lose faith in him and their relationship. He won’t let her leave. Bill says that he will be the one to move out of his house, not Katie, because the separation will only be temporary. Bill will do whatever it takes to convince her that she’s the only woman for him. He will give her time and space, but he won’t give up fighting for her.
