The Bold and the Beautiful alum, Mario Lopez (Dr. Christian Ramirez) is a part of the upcoming Saved By the Bell revival for NBCUniversal’s Peacock. And, now the official trailer for the upcoming reboot has been released.
The video clip shows Lopez back in the role of A.C Slater and working as a gym teacher at this former high school. Which is attended by the sons of his former classmates which include Jesse Spano played Elizabeth Berkley and Zach Morris played by Michael Paul Gosselaar? The season premiere of the series was initially scheduled for April but has now been pushed back due to the halt in production which began in March.
The Bold and the Beautiful News – Saved By the Bell Revival Reboot
When the reboot of the series was announced, everyone was excited to hear the official cast list. Many were quite happy when it was revealed that Lopez who also appeared on General Hospital in 2017 as himself signed on to be a part of the reboot. It was also revealed that NBCUniversal’s new Peacock streaming service will be the platform where the series air.
Saved By the Bell was a very popular comedy. It was popular among teenagers and adults as well during its run from 1989 – 1992. The show focused on a group of high school students including Jesse Spano, Zach Morris, Samule ‘Screech’ Powers played by Dustin Diamond, Lisa Turtle played by Lark Voorhies, Kelly Kapowski played by Tiffani Thiessen and Dennis Haskins as principal of the school, Mr. Richard Belding.

The series welcomed appearances by some now beloved soap stars including; Denise Richards (Shauna Fulton, The Bold and the Beautiful), Casper Van Dien (Tyler Moody, One Life to Live), Tori Spelling (Donna Martin, Beverly Hills 90210), Patrika Darbo (Nancy Wesley, Days of Our Lives and Shirley Spectra, B&B) and Patrick Muldoon (ex-Austin Reed, Days of Our Lives).

There was a spin-off of the series called Saved by the Bell: The College Years which only ran for one season in 1993 – 1994. The upcoming reboot is executive produced by Tracey Wigfield. NBCUniversal’s Peacook streaming service is scheduled to launch this year. Lopez is also well-known for dancing and hosting Extra. He also played Cruz (voice of) in the animated series Elena of Avalor.
