While pursuing custody of Douglas, Hope ignored everything around her except for winning the war against Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). She even neglected the man she loves. B&B spoilers also tease that she didn’t appear to spend much time with baby Beth Spencer.

Now that she has what she wants, the fog is clearing. She is done chasing Thomas with legal documents and brainstorming her next manipulation tactic. Now, she sees the damage that was done due to her obsessiveness. She is at risk of losing the family she wanted so bad.

B&B Spoilers: Liam Spencer Turns to Ex

It is clear that Liam Spencer began turning to his former flame, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). In the most recent episodes, the young man is spending more time with her. In fact, on Monday’s episode, Liam told Steffy that they need to have more time together as a family.

It may have been intended to refer to baby Beth and Kelly Spencer (Zoe Pennington). However, there was a sense that Liam was hinting that it just wasn’t about the children – that he enjoyed spending time with Steffy, too.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers suggest that while Hope was distracted, Steffy was subtly nursing Liam’s emotional wounds. Hope stressed him out, made him feel ignored and let’s not forget all of her outbursts and demands.

Steffy is winning without even trying. She might not even realize that she is giving Liam what he has been craving from his current relationship. To be acknowledged, to be heard, having trust and being able to confide in a partner. There is also the joy of watching the girls play as the former lovers laugh and smile throughout their visits.

B&B Spoilers: Stopping ‘Steam’

Thomas and Hope are more alike than they care to admit. Like the villain, Hope also has obsessive thoughts and if not managed, they can lead to disastrous results. The way they go after their targets might be different and of course, Thomas has the added difficulty of experiencing romantic delusions. However, their minds work in similar ways.

This seems to suggest that Hope will need something new to focus on now that she has custody of Douglas. Could her next goal be to handle the “Steam” complication? Her life was stressful before and she responded by verbally assaulting Steffy, which didn’t end well. But now it is spiraling out of control. This could drive Hope to take drastic measures to keep her man by eliminating the competition — much like how she got rid of Thomas.
