The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers have revealed a softer, gentler side to the infamously incendiary show, and the new look is one that’s welcome and a nice change of pace from recent days.

Several nasty and notorious characters have dominated the CBS show as of late, with outrageous plots taking center stage. This includes Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and his gruesome treatment of his little boy, not to mention his hoodwinking of Hope (Annika Noelle) and terrible treatment of Zoe (Kiara Barnes) who he is leading on in a meaningful manner.

There is also the acrimony between Bridge as well as the slap fests that have taken place between several female characters. And, not too long ago there was a long-running baby swap plot that came close to driving viewers crazed with desire for it to mercifully end.

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers – Daytime drama has many lessons to teach

Soaps are called daytime dramas for a reason, so none of the above plot points are out of bounds, nor were they ultimately not entertaining. The baby swap plot was suspenseful, and the dame drama was the stuff upon which soaps made their name—although we see a lot less catfighting these days.

But balance in life is a good thing, and at the moment fans are seeing a recalibration from crazy antics such as characters falling into vats of “acid” and tumbling off of steep cliffs, to a more tender and sweet depiction of humanity.

B&B Spoilers – People want to help poor Sally Spectra

This 180-degree turn has come about because the main character, Sally (Courtney Hope), is apparently dying. Up until now, Sally has been a somewhat polarizing figure, a flame-haired renegade who exalted in her outsider status and who couldn’t seem to stop rubbing people the wrong way.

Now that the news is out about Sally’s lethal last days, the people in her life have suddenly brought their better selves to the fore and are trying to do their best to come through for the tragic heroine.

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers – B&B has struck a nice balance

Seeing a hardened soul like Dollar Bill (Don Diamont) nearly come to tears after hearing the news shines a warm light on the character and makes us remember he’s flesh and blood after all. That Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) rallied around her to salvage her career was an unexpected act of generosity and it was heartwarming to see them act out of kindness instead of spite for a change.

Eventually, the pendulum will swing back to madness, revenge, and double-dealing, but for now, the genuine compassion being shown among the B&B characters is a refreshing change of pace.
