Is Daniel Goddard going to The Bold and the Beautiful?  Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful may know the Australian-born actor, Daniel Goddard, from his role as Dar, in the 1999-2002 series, Beastmaster, which was based on the 1982 film, The Beastmaster.  But, most of us know Goddard from his role as Cane Ashby on The Young and the Restless.

Goddard landed his first television role in the Australian soap, Home and Away.  The soap star played the manipulative and muscular Eric Phillips as a guest star on the show for six weeks.  Goddard then left for Hollywood where he modeled for Calvin Klein and Dolce and Gabbana.

Daniel Goddard’s Debut In The United States

After his lead role in 65 episodes of the series, Beastmaster, the actor soon made his American soap opera debut on The Young and the Restless playing Cane Ashby from 2007 to 2019.

Daniel Goddard announced his departure from the show in October 2019 in an Instagram post he captioned “It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that I will no longer be part of the cast of the Young and the Restless.” and then closing the post with, “I am forever grateful for the 13 years I have been a part of the Y&R family… but sadly it seems that without Neil and Lily there just is no Cane.”

After 13 years in the role of Cane Ashby from The Young and the Restless, it would be fitting if Goddard found himself in a role on The Bold and the Beautiful, but is that going to happen?

According to SoapCentral.com, earlier this year, rumors were started that Goddard was set to fill the role of E.J. DiMera on Days of Our Lives.  Clearly that didn’t happen and the NBC soap has found their new EJ.

The Bold And The Beautiful News – Was The Role A Joke On Fans?

The Bold and the Beautiful casting rumor regarding Goddard, which stemmed from a New Year’s prediction made by Soaps She Knows, ended up being more tongue in cheek than factual, though the soap star had actually been screen-tested for the role but decided not to take it at the time.

Whether or not the rumors have any merit, fans have expressed that they would be excited if they were true.
