Revised ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Back To Work Schedule – False Positives Sparked Health Department Concerns

CBS The Bold and the Beautiful did go back to production last week. However, that lasted just one day and filming was paused. Everyone will get back to work on Wednesday, June 24. False positives sparked questions from the health department. However, it has since been resolved.

First Soap To Restart Production

As previously reported, B&B was the first American soap to resume production following the coronavirus quarantine. Everyone was excited about the news, but not just loyal fans. The cast was thrilled to be able to go back to work. However, the soap did have to adhere to certain safety measures, and also created some of their own to protect the cast and crew.

B&B Stops Filming After One Day

It was reported that soap restarting production would be short-lived. The filming only lasted one day before they took another break. At the time, it was stated that the “brief pause” was due to a high volume of COVID-19 testing that needed to be addressed. However, there were other reports that it was due to safety modifications.

False Positives Sparked Health Department Concerns

The Bold and the Beautiful actually halted production due to some concerns regarding false positives. According to Deadline, the health department had questions about the lab that was being used for coronavirus testing. A spokesperson for the CBS soap explained,

“The Health Department had some additional questions about the lab TV City provided The Bold and the Beautiful with last week, which produced several false positives. Bell-Phillip Television changed labs and resolved all problems.”

It was made clear that the soap was not shut down. It was a voluntary move in order to gather the necessary information and to change labs. The spokesperson also clarified that they do not have any positive COVID-19 cases.

The Bold and the Beautiful Gets Back To Work

It is reported that all the issues have been resolved and the health department is satisfied. The requested paperwork was submitted. The cast and crew plans on returning to the set on Wednesday, June 24, 2020.
