The Bold and The Beautiful (B&B) Spoilers and Recap August 19: Quarter Break Up For Now

The Bold & the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers and recap for Thursday, August 19, 2021, shows that Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) breaks Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) heart when she leaves him for Eric Forrester (John McCook). Carter told Quinn that he loved her so that she would know what they had was real. Carter agrees that Quinn’s marriage isn’t over. He sends her home to be Eric’s wife. He reminds her that Quinn always wanted Eric back and how much his respect and admiration meant.

Quinn doesn’t want to give up the incredible connection she shared with Carter. Quinn is torn by her love for two men. She and Carter kiss goodbye for the last time. Carter takes her portrait back to the mansion as Quinn sobs.

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Eric Wants Quinn

Eric readies the mansion for his wife’s return. He takes down Stephanie Forrester’s (Susan Flannery) portrait to leave room for Quinn’s. Eric reminisces about the day he gave Mrs. Forrester the portrait. Eric puts his wedding band on again.

At the cliff house, Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) is uncomfortable with keeping Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) text a secret from Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) believes Sheila left town. Telling Steffy about the text will make Steffy more anxious over nothing.

Steffy returns home with her dad and wonders why Finn and Paris have their heads together. Finn says the Sheila situation has everyone off balance. Finn’s parents drop by. Jack Finnegan (Ted King) apologizes again about Sheila wrecking the wedding reception. He doesn’t want it to taint Steffy’s opinion of Finn or their family. Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) is still miffed that he didn’t tell her about Sheila from the beginning. Jack didn’t want to worry Li and assumed he’d never hear from Sheila after Finn’s birth.

B&B Spoilers: Sheila Causes Mayhem

Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) says that, as long as Sheila is on the loose, she’s a threat. If they had known Sheila was around, Ridge would have added extra security at the wedding and Steffy wouldn’t have posted the wedding announcement to make their family a target. Steffy tells a somber Li that Sheila has done terrible things to their family, but there’s nothing Finn could do to change the way she feels about him. Finn promises to protect Steffy and the kids.

Ridge doesn’t trust Jack. He says that they need to know if Sheila reaches out. Steffy says any form of communication is an invitation to Sheila. Steffy doesn’t want Sheila anywhere near their family or Hayes Finnegan.

Sheila believes Finn’s heart emoji means he loves his mother. She does a little internet research about her son. Sheila remembers when Eric kicked her of the Forrester family before and vows that it won’t happen again. Sheila won’t be separated from her son and grandson.

Eric thanks Carter for returning the portrait. Eric didn’t realize how much he loved Quinn until he contemplated a future without her. His family will think he’s crazy. Carter says his family is protective because they saw Quinn and Carter’s affair as confirmation that Quinn isn’t worthy of Eric. Carter hangs Quinn’s portrait over the mantle.

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Eric Trusts Carter

Eric says that he asked Carter to handle the divorce, because he wanted to prove his faith in Carter’s good judgment and Carter proved him right by taking care of the portrait. Carter thanks Eric for giving him and Quinn a second chance. Eric believes that this second chance will last. On his way out, Carter runs into Quinn. Eric notes that Quinn isn’t surprised to see Carter with Eric.

Eric asked Carter to help hang her portrait back where it belongs. Awkwardness hangs between the three of them. Eric encourages them all to move past what happened. He realizes that he mistreated his wife by withholding attention and pushed her into Carter’s arms. Carter and Quinn have proven their commitment and loyalty. Eric doesn’t want residual tension with Carter. Carter tells Quinn goodbye.

Eric notices Quinn crying. She claims they’re tears of joy. She’s amazed to see her portrait and feels so lucky to have another chance to be his wife. She won’t take it for granted.

Paris clocks in at Forrester Creations and admires Zende Forrester’s (Delon de Metz) designs. Zende says it’s good that Finn has an objective party to confide in. Zende feels bad that Finn can’t risk having contact with his birth mother. Paris keeps mum about the secret she and Finn are keeping.
