Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was tricked into revealing his true intentions on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’. Bested by Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), scorned by his faux bride, Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes), and reviled by nearly everyone who was gathered for the intended wedding, Thomas dropped tears of actual sorrow and then left through the front door of his grandfather’s house.
Those who know Thomas in this fictional version of Los Angeles, California, and viewers who’ve been watching him since he returned with his son from New York, following the death of Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey), expected excuses and then a bolt from the failed nuptials. Past instances of conflict avoidance had Thomas lying low for a short period of time and then returning.
But childhood friend Vincent Walker (Joe LoCicero) was alienated through this ‘Thoe’ wedding scheme and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) isn’t standing by his son this time. So, what will Thomas do now?
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Long Period Of Absence
Atkinson has been killing it on B&B for a year. He became the recast of the character after Pierson Fode (Thomas) was last seen on the show in 2018. So, it’s reasonable to believe that the writing staff could put this alter ego into a period of hibernation.
That move would be drastic, while also establishing an assumed comeback storyline. In that Thomas could truly be remorseful, or be bent on seeking revenge against everyone who he believes betrayed his trust.
Sometimes villains meet their apparent end. So, Thomas could meet his fate in some form of gruesome fall that goes beyond Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) push off the cliff, or Hope’s push into the vat. He could also be brought back from the dead at some point in the future if an endgame climax happens.
B&B Spoilers – Another Temporary Departure Followed By Snap-back
Thomas could wall himself off somewhere, subsist for a while, and then plan revenge against his perceived enemies. Whatever snap-back he would devise likely would involve attacking multiple people in what would likely lead to this character’s write-out.
Great daytime villains, as this character is, aren’t easy to develop. In this instance, Thomas has a long history on the show, through multiple actors, including being SORAS’d into adulthood.
Choosing to shelve Thomas, through a longterm hospitalization, or incarceration would likely mean that Atkinson would be taking a hiatus from the cast, or leaving. The actor and the character he plays seems too significant at this point in B&B’s history for that to happen, but change is constant in the soap world.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Redemption Storyline Would Be A Twist
A real redemption storyline would be refreshing. Atkinson and his colleagues played the dark Thomas angle to the hilt. Why not present something different now?

Even Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) has turned away from his dad. So, no one would believe the man who cried wolf in this proposed scenario. That alone would make for an interesting comeback story, as Thomas would have to live an entirely different life and do so for an extended period of time in order to slowly gain trust.
Alternatively, Thomas could play the hero in a soapy scenario where disaster ensues and he saves many character’s lives. That super-charged revitalization would be plausible if it was written as well as this arc has been to-date.
