The Bold and the Beautiful recap is in for Thursday, September 17, 2026. In today’s episode, Daphne Rose Walton (Murielle Hilaire) makes a surrogacy decision.

Meanwhile, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) pressures Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

One Man’s Pitch

In the design office, Daphne is shocked by Carter’s suggestion. It could be a beautiful thing if Steffy is the egg donor and surrogate. The lady could be the answer to their prayers.

Daphne isn’t sure. She touches her belly. Carter says life has forced him to be creative. Daphne thinks this is too much to ask of her. Carter thinks it’s fate. 

Daphne can’t do it. Carter continues trying to convince her. The Nose is aware her BFF would be perfect, but she can’t ask this of her.

Carter says Steffy can make anyone a mother. (Writer’s Note: I don’t like Steffy, but she is NOT an incubator. What a douchebag Carter’s turning into!)

Carter pushes Daphne to ask Steffy. The Nose is tempted, but she can’t guilt Steffy into this.

Carter thinks Steffy will agree. Daphne doesn’t want to pressure her friend.

Daphne thinks how amazing it would be for Carter and Steffy to give her a child. (Writer’s Note: Oh, Daphne, you have no idea what you are asking!)

Mother’s Intuition

At home, Steffy keeps thinking about Carter.

Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) enters. The mother can see something is wrong. Steffy just says she’s been tired and sick.

Taylor says she hasn’t been the same since Monaco.

They chat about Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) toes on the beach. 

Steffy cries. Taylor wants her to open up. Steffy is struggling with how she responded in Monaco.

She never should have left alone, but doesn’t explain what she did.

Taylor wants to know what Steffy means. Steffy won’t give her mother any details. 

Taylor leaves, so Steffy decides she’s ready to tell John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) the truth.

However, Carter interrupts again. Steffy says she’s getting ready to tell Finn the truth.

Carter says Daphne wants someone she knows to be the egg donor and surrogate.

Steffy isn’t sure she could watch someone else raise her child.

Carter says Steffy can still be a part of the baby’s life.

This might have happened for a reason. Carter has discussed it with Daphne, and she’s open to it. But it’s gotta be Steffy’s idea. 

Li Finnegan’s Reassurance

At the hospital, Finn opens up to Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda).

The man says Steffy is having a hard time with what happened in Monaco.

Li is sure that things are going to be okay.

No one will even remember what happened 10 years from now, Li says. 

They talk about Daphne’s options. Li knows how emotional infertility can be.

She’s sure Daphne’s baby will show up somehow.
