The Bold And The Beautiful: Scott Clifton Defends Liam Spencer

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) will continue his downward spiral and creepy behavior on the CBS soap.  At this point, Liam is easily the most hated character on B&B.  In fact, he is even making Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) less yucky to watch.

According to B&B spoilers, Liam Spencer will continue to purse married Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and degrade his almost ex-wife Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).  Last week on The Bold and the Beautiful, Liam went on another spree.  First he cornered Steffy and all but demanded she leave her husband Finn and be with him.  Then, he marched over to Hope Logan’s house and berated her for sleeping with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).

We get that Liam Spencer is supposed to be a chip off the old block.  But, even Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has more charm and manners than his son.

Liam’s comments to his wife about making sure she uses birth control rubbed a lot of The Bold and the Beautiful viewers the wrong way. 

At this stage in the game, no one blames Hope for cheating on her husband and leaving him.  Who would want to be married to him?

Scott Clifton recently sat down on The Talk and chatted with the hosts about the direction his character is taking on The Bold and the Beautiful. 

He explained that Liam is supposed to be a villain now, a memo that the B&B writers apparently forgot to pass along to viewers.

B&B Spoilers – Scott Clifton Speaks Out

Clifton explained, “Listen, this character has been flawed, he’s been misguided… Come on.  If you just read the script, he’s a villain. He’s a villain now. And I am having the time of my life playing him that way.”

The problem is, Liam Spencer is not coming off as a dark and sexy soap villain.  “Villain Liam” is not resonating well with viewers at home and if the writers don’t do something soon, they’re going to write the character in to a corner.  Are you a fan of this version of Liam?

      Have never been a Liam fan. He’s always been whiney and needy. He played those 2 women and why they put up with it I could never figure it out. I’m glad Wyatt is moving to Genoa City. Hopefully he and Sally will get back on track and she can lose the Newman brothers. I liked her with Nick but not Adam. He’s always whiney and needy also.
