The Bold and the Beautiful is currently airing theme weeks since the soap ran out of new episodes. While fans are enjoying the televised time machine, they are anxious to find out when filming will start back up. Recently, Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) thought mid-May was a possibility. Now, it’s being reported that June is more likely, but that is not set in stone.

B&B spoilers recently teased that production could begin as early as May 15, but it was stated that it was tentative. Well, that date has come and gone with no new scenes being filmed. The new target date is sometime in June, per Deadline.

It is reported that production teams are keeping the cast and crew updated on when they can come back to work. However, it is always made clear that the dates are dependent on a lot of factors, and sometimes it is out of their control.

Before you get too excited, keep in mind that a lot goes into creating each episode. So, if filming does resume in June, that doesn’t mean we will get to see the new scenes right away. A lot has to be done before it is ready to air on television.

It was recently explained by soap actors that when filming does start back up, there will be strict safety measures put in place. We don’t know exactly what those are yet, but kissing scenes and hair-yanking catfights might go missing. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers from Clifton’s Twitter account reveal sets will be smaller and fewer people will be present during filming.

There are a lot of different production restart dates going around. While they were probably all accurate at the time of reporting, things are changing so quickly. There are a lot of conditions that must be met. Stay-at-home orders must be lifted or modified. Unions have guidelines, Television City has requirements, the city has certain policies that must be followed, as well as rules set by the state of California.

There is so much uncertainty during this pandemic. While some areas are showing decreased infection rates, others are still facing an uphill battle. At the end of the day, the lives of human beings (yes, this includes soap actors!) take priority over our entertainment.
