The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Douglas’ Plea To Hope – Thomas Damaging Son, Douglas Will Need Therapy

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers hint at the continuation of Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) feelings being manipulated by Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson). Thomas has shown that he is not above manipulating his son if it means that he will be able to rebuild a relationship with her. However, this can be shown to be harmful to Douglas in the future even if he gets out of the situation, he is in.

Douglas is still at a young age and has already been through a lot as a child. Some viewers may forget that Douglas is at an age where he can remember a lot and comprehend many of the things that are going on around him. Add in how smart he is for his age, and you get a kid that is really affected by his surroundings and the situations that have been placed in front of him.

B&B Spoilers – Douglas Forrester’s Plea To Hope Logan

During a talk that Douglas has with Hope, he mentions that he did not want to lose Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and wants her to continue to be his mother. This conversation has been happening a lot more often now that Thomas has been using Douglas’s feelings against him. However, this time he tells Hope that he does not want to lose another mother and that he won’t let that happen. This does show how much Douglas is still grieving over his mother’s passing and is attaching to Hope as a way to cope with the loss of his birth mother, Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey). It does show that he has not had time to process the death of his mother properly.

Combine that with his father using his feelings against him; you have a boy who has not been able to process his feeling while he is consistently made to be in a state of panic about losing someone he cares about. This will continue to take a toll on the boy, and he may have trouble with processing or understanding how to handle his feelings because he never had a chance to as a kid.

This could lead to him acting out in unhealthy ways because of this. Many people say that they care about Douglas but never talk about what is best for his mental wellbeing. At one point, Thomas was away from Douglas for weeks at a time, and when he came back, he treated Douglas like a villain. It would be nice if someone would start thinking of putting Douglas into therapy.

The Bold and The Beautiful Spoilers – Douglas Forrester Could Benefit From Therapy

If he were to be put into therapy, he would have the opportunity to work through his feelings. Douglas hasn’t processed through a lot of his emotions, and he may be able to learn proper steps on how to do that. It would be even more critical here since the therapist could pinpoint the way that Douglas is being manipulated as well. What do you think? Would Douglas benefit from therapy?
