Steam has many supporters, but there must be an internal belief that both characters shouldn’t be romantically connected again. Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), Steffy’s other past husband, also doesn’t seem to be a viable reconnect option.

Let’s focus on what is an intriguing possibility. Eric Sharpe (as last played by child actor Field Cate) hasn’t been seen for a decade. Devoted fans who remember him know that soapy creativity would be needed to invent a viable option for Steffy in this regard.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Character Backstory Details

Eric is the son of Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) and the late Rebecca Moore Garrison (Marissa Tait). His adoptive mother, Amber Moore (Adrienne Frantz), was Becky’s cousin.

This character hasn’t been seen on B&B since the early 2000s and was on The Young and the Restless in 2010, when Kanan’s character was in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Eric wasn’t yet a teenager then and was last referenced by Deacon as living with his maternal grandparents. Kanan’s character was put in jail in 2017 because he took shots at Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer). Presumably, he’s still there.

Soap time isn’t typically calculated. So the ten-year passage of time could be upped a bit, or doubled in order to place Eric close enough in age to Wood’s character.

B&B Spoilers – Work-Related Focus Opens Door

Creating a SORAS’d (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) edition of Eric would allow him to appear at Forrester Creations one day. He could work any position or even be a model.

Steffy chose to be single a few years ago when she felt compelled to tell Liam to return to Hope. While Wood’s character remains alone this summer, Steffy deserves romance.

Whether she strikes up a conversation with Eric, or he works on a project with her, a work-based start would be feasible.

Having Eric become Steffy’s love interest would allow B&B to tap known show history, while also allowing a fresh plot to grow. The twenty-something Eric would carry some of his father’s baggage. But the former Little D would also become his own man.

Steffy sees Liam as the love of her life. That feeling may always be true. But she can fall in love again. So why not have her do that with a character whose backstory is established and the future could be bright?
