The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) lost his family in an instant.

He understood why his wife, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), was upset following the frightening incident with Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras Mckinlay) at the beach below their cliff house.

Steffy wanted to know how Sheila came to be at the exact location where Finn and Kelly were enjoying what started as a playful day out. Finn did not know and felt that was not the point.

Without Sheila, Kelly could have drowned or so the belief goes. It can never be known if Finn would have had time to rescue the stepdaughter, he took his eyes off that fateful day.

It is known that Sheila pulled Kelly from the Pacific Ocean and the Finn wants Steffy and his adoptive mother, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda), to recognize that plot point.

Steffy’s concerns were ignited by what happened and her perception that Finn’s dangerous connection to Sheila was reinforced.

B&B Spoilers – Liam Spencer Hits On Mistake

Finn did not plan to secretly meet with Sheila at the beach, where she could bond with her son and be near Kelly.

Liam does not believe that, but he certainly is capitalizing on what happened.

Liam took a video of Finn and Sheila hugging in the courtroom hallway after she was released. Clifton’s character showed that to Steffy because he felt it represented a threat.

Steffy had to admit Liam’s suspicions were right after learning about Sheila’s arrival and actions at the beach.

Wood’s character subsequently appears to be open to Liam in a way that goes beyond them parenting Kelly.

Finn put Liam on notice after he and Steffy were together, telling her ex-husband that he was not welcome at the cliff house whenever he wanted to drop in.

Liam had to adjust to the new man in Steffy’s life and did recede.
