B&B spoilers reveal that Sheila has already shown her instability by taking the one emoji that Finn sent her and blowing it up in her mind. Sheila believed that the emoji proved that Finn loved her and that she would never be apart from her son ever again. Sheila is already fixated on becoming a family with Finn and Hayes Forrester Finnegan.

So, when Sheila was told that she would never be a part of Finn or Hayes’ lives, the master manipulator got desperate. When she becomes desperate, deception is usually her tool of choice. To stop Finn from abandoning her, Sheila collapsed and pretended to be unconscious.

Even though Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) keeps saying that Sheila is a master manipulator and con artist, Finn just can’t believe it. What he sees is a middle-aged woman — his mother — lying motionless in a hospital bed. Finn sees Sheila wearing an oxygen mask and hooked up to monitors. So, he can’t see what Steffy sees when looking at Sheila.

Even though Finn finally agreed with Steffy and was cutting Sheila out of his life, he had a change of heart. Sheila’s medical crisis had the effect that the villain wanted. Finn is worried about his mother and refuses to abandon her. Finn feels bad that Sheila doesn’t have anyone in her life except for him. The doctor believes that he nearly lost his mother so soon after meeting her for the first time. The guilt and fear compel Finn to develop a relationship with Sheila.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that Brown spoke to SoapCentral about Sheila and Finn’s storyline. The actress explained that Sheila gave Finn up for someone else and has missed out on her son’s entire life. Even though Sheila was watching Finn from afar, it wasn’t the same as being able to bond with and love that child.

Brown also teased that Sheila could actually find true love one day, and actually have that person love her back. The actress thinks it’s possible because of Finn.

“Giving him up was the hardest thing that she’s ever done in her life, and she did it for somebody else, once again. Sheila’s whole life has been making mistakes to make other people happy instead of herself. One of these days, she will be able to find love and be loved the way she had always hoped. And her son might be the beginning of that.

In fictional works, including soaps, villains are usually that way because of some deep-rooted pain, rejection or humiliation. So, it would make sense that unconditional love, like one from a child, could positively change a villain.

With that being said, Sheila will probably never be completely reformed or be redeemed. As Brown explained, Sheila has tried to change before but there is always someone that pushes her too far.

“I think, as we all grow, we all realize the mistakes that we’ve made in the past. Sheila is no different. But it’s really hard to break away from old habits, as well. So, that’s the beauty about being Sheila. I can have these incredible breakthrough moments and then have somebody do something that triggers me that sets me right back to where I was.”
