Not only did she fill in for Melissa “Missy” Reeves as Jennifer Horton, but the actress is known for her roles in All My Children and As the World Turns. McClain has also appeared in St. Elsewhere, The Young and the Restless, as well as Venice the Series.

McClain has finished her stint on DOOL. Afterward, Reeves came back to reprise the role of Jennifer for Christmas. However, Jennifer Horton has left Salem again and it seems to be long-term. If Jennifer and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) come back to Salem, it will probably be for visits.

In those cases, Reeves will likely be appearing as her absence was due to COVID-19 traveling concerns. So, McClain was never intended to be a permanent replacement, just a temporary fill-in.

B&B Spoilers – Joins Another Soap

It was teased that McClain had joined another soap. Although details are being kept under wraps, there are some clues. First of all, McClain is unlikely to come back as Jennifer for the reasons stated above. As for Y&R, that character is dead and probably won’t be resurrected. That means the two likely possibilities are General Hospital or The Bold and the Beautiful.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that McClain posted a clue on Instagram. On January 6, 2022, McClain uploaded a photo and shared she was back on set. The actress added that she was having fun being on such a “terrific show” and couldn’t wait to share the news with fans.

Shortly after McClain posted the picture, it was deleted. So, it probably contained a huge clue of McClain’s new soap project.

B&B Spoilers – More Characters Needed

B&B is a soap that is in desperate need of more characters. Granted, the soap is only 30 minutes long (less if you factor in commercials). However, the cast is so small that fans see the same love triangles over and over again. B&B desperately needs more characters and more “new” stories, not the same recycled plots.

Fans met Paris Buckingham’s (Diamond White) mom during the week of January 10. The head writer also shared with Soap Opera Digest that fans would meet a Forrester Creations employee. It was teased that it could be a new love interest for Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). However, it’s possible that McClain will be a love interest for Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), or even Eric Forrester (John McCook).

It would be interesting if McClain’s role was more business-focused. Maybe she will make a power move with Forrester Creations, Spencer Publications, or be the owner of a new fashion house that will bring back the business rivalry storylines. We will just have to wait and see what happens!
