The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) regrets not talking his wife out of accepting Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) plan. As fans recall, Thomas believed Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) should determine where he lives.

Thomas filed legal paperwork that set a hearing with a judge, who advised, while unusual, there is precedent for allowing a juvenile to set the custodial table. Then, Douglas threw an unexpected curve past his parents and to Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

Steffy is involved in drama, just like Douglas’ parents. But Douglas sensed that choosing the cliff house, where his aunt lives with John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and his cousins, would be better for his parents.

Douglas has played up the fun angle in wanting to move in with Steffy. He did not like Thomas manipulating him again or having Hope and Liam feel the need to monitor his father when he came to the cabin.

Wood’s character is a family member. She is also a mother to Douglas’ cousins, Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras Mckinlay) and Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Iliana and Vienna Norris). Plus, seeing the ocean from his new room suits Douglas just fine.

B&B Spoilers – Hope Spencer Loses Son And Control At Work

In a matter of weeks, Hope had to take her adopted son to live with Steffy. Fans recall, and Hope will never forget, Steffy was part of the triangle with Liam, which is not that far in the past.

Hope was shaken to her core by Douglas’ decision. She fears his choice means she failed to provide a loving home for him. But Liam tried to calm his wife’s fears by reminding her of Douglas’ words, with Samiri’s character saying he did not want his mommy to be sad when he left.

Douglas does not blame Hope. Deep down she knows that.

However, losing control of Hope for the Future, by having Steffy tell her Thomas will return or the line will be paused, is a gut punch that follows too soon after the Douglas shocker.

Steffy’s decision to allow Thomas to return as HFTF’s lead designer is nepotism in an extreme form. An advantage of Douglas moving to the cliff house was that Thomas would no longer be at the cabin.
