Even though Carter and Quinn seem to end up together, no soap romance is without complications. So, Carter and Quinn might be happy for a short while, but there could be another issue that threatens to tear them apart.

It is clear that Paris will be heartbroken and humiliated by “Quarter.” In a photo published in Soap Opera Digest, Paris is being held by Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech). While Grace holds her daughter, Paris is half-glaring and half-pouting at someone. That person is most likely Carter, who tries to explain so there are no hard feelings.

Of course, it’s possible that Zende and Paris might have been intimate off-screen. However, Paris has been all about Carter for several weeks. So, there probably won’t be any question of who fathered the baby.

Paris could use the unborn child to use as a weapon. Even though Paris is heartbroken, she might not be able to move on from Carter as easily as everyone hopes. Carter has never made it a secret that he wants children. That is something that Quinn can’t provide.

Plus, Carter will insist on doing the right thing and going back to Paris. No matter how strongly Carter feels about Quinn, he won’t want his child to be in a broken home. Carter also doesn’t want his baby to be stuck in a war between the parents.

However, Grace could once again interfere with Paris’ plans and relationships. Perhaps the baby really is Zende’s and Paris is further along than she lets everyone believe. It’s possible that Paris keeps this information hidden but Grace finds out. When that happens, Grace could actually be the one to help Carter instead of threatening him.
