The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) first item on his to-do list was to see the loves of his life. He was surprised that Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) summoned him through text.

Ridge’s second item to deal with is his oldest son, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). While the Brooke and Taylor scenes offered a reversal decision and humor woven into the scripts, the next issue Ridge faces is serious.

Saying that Thomas was sick at the failed remarriage ceremony to Taylor was harsh but accurate. Atkinson’s character needs mental health treatment and tough- love guidance.

Thomas has gotten away with so many things in his life that he feels immune to lasting consequences. While he certainly has been punished and faced reprisal, Thomas has not endured outcomes that fundamentally altered his life except for Caroline Spencer’s (Linsey Godfrey) death.

Of course, Caroline is believed to have suffered a malady that was not Thomas’ fault. Fans are right to wonder if that plot point may be revisited at some point in the future. But unless it is, Thomas was not guilty of causing her death.

However, The Bold and the Beautiful viewers know Thomas is responsible for Emma Barber’s (Nia Sioux) death. Ridge forced that truth out of him and decided to do nothing. That reinforced Thomas’ belief that he could do anything.

B&B Spoilers – Will Thomas Forrester Benefit From Tough Love?

There is a balance with Thomas. If Ridge urges Eric Forrester (John McCook) to back firing Thomas, what will Atkinson’s character do next?

Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has been without his fixer since Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) betrayed him. Incredibly, Thomas was the character who told Bill what Justin did. That created unexpected gratitude and Bill’s temporary truce with Ridge.

Justin later went to Forrester Creations, offering his legal skills and whatever information the Forresters needed about Bill in exchange for them not reporting him to the authorities. Ridge accepted in front of Thomas, and Justin has been working at FC since.

Ridge let matters get too far out of hand with Brooke and Taylor across the years. The ladies finally recognized that they were enabling Ridge’s dysfunctional view of love and marriage.
