The Bold and The Beautiful spoilers and updates tease that a mistake in Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) could mean it’s invalid. That would mean that Ridge and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) are still married and it’s a good thing his wedding to Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) failed.

Brooke and Taylor stopped being a couple of chickens over their waffling would-be lover and chose themselves instead of more years of back and forth. Ridge had come back from his trip to decide which lady he really wanted to be with, and before he could say anything both of them stopped him. Ridge was a bit taken aback, but if Brooke hadn’t rejected him, Ridge probably would have chosen her, based on his unhappiness with Taylor not telling him the truth she knew.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Taylor had known about Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) using Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) voice changer app to call CPS as Brooke. She hadn’t told him before the wedding started, but she was in shock over it and hadn’t recovered, but for Ridge, that was a lie.

If the show goes according to history and doesn’t stay on this brand new path of ‘Braylor’ standing firm against a waffling Ridge, he wouldn’t be single for long. Brooke has historically needed a man worse than she needs air to breathe, which doesn’t really paint her in the best light. Brooke had decided she was no longer going to be needy and dependent on a man to prop her up but destiny could intervene in a different way this time. Ridge pushed through an annulment instead of waiting for a divorce simply so he could marry Taylor, but in haste, mistakes are easily made. What if he was so pushy with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) that he or whoever typed the papers up made a mistake, causing the annulment to be invalid?

If there turns out to be an error in the annulment papers, invalidating the annulment, will destiny still intervene? Brooke would have to make a choice – stand firm in her newfound freedom and sign a new set of annulment papers or return to Ridge as her husband. They were maneuvered into a Christmas kiss thanks to Charlie Webber (Dick Christie) and Pam Douglas (Alley Mills) with a fishing pole casting a sprig of mistletoe over their heads!

But Brooke didn’t seem to have that old magic reaction that she used to, although she allowed the kiss in a polite way. After all these years, has Brooke realized she’s been in love with love and just been settling, or will she take Ridge back if he pleads; that’s the big question.
