Coronation Street Brings The Missing Bailey Family Member

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that the Bailey family is expanding as the missing member is finally appearing on the soap.

Coronation Street has announced that Ed and Aggie’s daughter, Dee Dee Baily, will be seen on Weatherfield for the first time later this September.

Channique Sterling-Brown will play the role of Dee Dee, the missing daughter that’s only been mentioned several times since Michael and James, Ed and Aggie’s sons, came in 2019.

Coronation Street  Spoilers – Corrie Teases Chaos With Dee Dee Bailey’s Arrival

In line with Dee Dee’s arrival, Corrie producer Iain MacLeod, tease that fans can expect chaos.

“I love this character. I loved her long before she physically existed, just by the way she was described in the Bailey family,” MacLeod told Digital Spy.

“But essentially, you can expect a certain amount of chaos. She’s got an incredibly big heart. She’s incredibly competent at her job, but you’d never guess that to meet her.”

Dee Dee seems to have a strong personality, perhaps because she’s a lawyer who can drill opposing teams to defend her client.

“She’s just amped up chaos in every regard, apart from she’s got this incredibly sharp mind. But she’s loads of fun,” MacLeod further teased.

Coronation Street  Spoilers – Exciting Days Ahead For The Bailey Family

MacLeod has all kind words for the casting of Channique in the role of Dee Dee. He described her as “a complete shot in the arm.”

He added that Channique has a vibrant personality and so full of energy, so he’s excited for her addition to the Bailey family.

While Dee Dee will cause some chaos, MacLeod expects her to stay “incredibly joyous.” She’s going to be a part of a major storyline, but not one that would reveal a dark burden from the past.
