Coronation Street Cast Speaks Out On Maximus Evans Exit

‘Coronation Street’: Maximus Evans“Coronation Street” star Maximus Evans has received praises from fans and co-stars as he waved goodbye to his villainous role as Corey Brent.

After months of searching for justice for Seb Franklin’s (Harry Visinoni) murder, Corey Brent finally ended up in jail after he was being arrested when he tried to escape the cobbles with his dad, Stefan (Paul Opacic).

When the two were on their way to the airport, the vehicle came to a stop and Gary Windass (Mikey North) surprisingly opened the van door and revealed that they were sent to the police station to arrest Corey (Maximus Evans).

After the soap aired the episode, Maximus Evans, the man behind Corey Brent, posted on Twitter thanking everyone for the endless support: “And just like that… he was gone. Thank you all for the ride, it’s been a blast. Over and out… for now.”

Evans even posted a picture of himself during his first and last episode of “Coronation Street.” His fans and co-stars flooded the comment section with compliments.

Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby, commented: “Congratulations on such a fantastic performance! Wishing you continued success.”

The George Shuttleworth of the soap, Tony Maudsley, wished Evans well in London: “Bravo Max! What a cracking job you did! Hope that there London is being good to you. Can’t wait to see what you do next!!!”

His on-screen rival, Sally Carman, who plays Abi Franklin, expressed her thoughts with three fire emojis: “I’m going to miss you. What a fabulous job you did.”

The young Sam Blakeman, Jude Riordan, also teased: “Good luck Max. Hope I see you out and about (not Corey though. He can stay in prison!)”

Georgia Taylor, the soap’s Toyah Battersby, praised Evans for being great in his role: “What a blooming triumph, Max! From an initial handful of episodes to an incredibly compelling and complex villain. Top work.”

Kyran Bowes, who plays Jack Webster in the soap, also commented: “Well done @MaximusEvans3 you have been amazing. Glad we did a scene together. Hope to see you again in the future.”

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Star Maximus Evans Moves To London For Music And Drama Training

After he left his iconic role in “Coronation Street,” Maximus Evans made his way to London to train at The Guild Hall School of Music and Drama.

As documented by Manchester Evening News, Evans expressed his gratefulness for being able to play Corey Brent on the show, but he planned to go back to the theatre after the training.

“As an actor, theatre really tests you and I just want to challenge myself as much as possible and take on a role that’s really different to the one I’ve created at ‘Corrie,’” he explained.

He may not know what will happen after two years of training, but Maximus Evans is still open to being back at “Coronation Street” and playing his villainous Corey Brent role again.
