“Coronation Street” viewers saw the veteran Roy Cropper venture away from the Street when his guilt for covering Abi Franklin was too much to carry. But is he gone for good
During the Super Soap Week, Roy (David Neilson) saw Abi (Sally Carman) point a gun at Corey (Maximus Evans) after the two were devoured by the ground in the Platts’ sinkhole. Roy lied to the police during interrogation to cover Abi’s mistake.
But guilt defeated his good intentions when recently, Roy learned from the police that the gun that was used to kill Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) was the one that Abi held.
In tonight’s episode (November 24) Roy decided to fly to South America to start anew because guilt was already eating him up. Later that day, he approached Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) and told him to sign over his entire estate to Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher). He also instructed Abi to sell the Woody.
Frustrated about the idea of Roy leaving, Nina stopped the old man so she gathered her friends at the café.

Nina encouraged Carla Connor (Alison King), Cathy Matthews (Melanie Hill), Chesney Brown (Sam Aston), Brian Packham (Peter Gunn), Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine), and Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) to convince Roy to stay. She instructed everyone to tell Roy how he meant so much to them.
After hearing all the loving and sincere statements, the cafe owner was forced to lie even more when Carla quizzed her about what happened.
With the lies piled up, none stopped Roy from leaving. Nina tearfully convinced him to never leave the cobbles, but the man hailed a taxi and left without looking back.
Though the soap’s bosses haven’t uttered a word yet, will it be Roy’s final episode? And what will happen to Nina who depends on her uncle?
