‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers: Billy Pretends To Support Summer Spellman

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Billy still doesn’t appreciate his daughter’s surrogacy idea, so he pretends that he’s on her side.

In the previous episode of the longest-running soap, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) was involved with the idea of surrogacy when she tried to repay her debt to Esther (Vanessa Hehir) and Mike (Tom Lorcan). When she was still pregnant, Summer asked for amount of money in return for her baby’s adoption. However, the teenager suffered a miscarriage, leading Mike and Esther to come up with a surrogacy plan.

On the other hand, Billy was stunned with the plan, believing that surrogacy is not a great idea. When he told Summer to join Amy’s party and talk to Aaron (James Craven), he hoped that the young man would change his daughter’s mind. Howbeit, Billy was left disappointed when Summer told him that she and Aaron are back together, and he fully supports her surrogacy decision.

Back at Mike and Esther’s flat, Summer opened the door for the bailiffs, and she was left stunned when they started to gather the couple’s belongings. Later that day, Billy joined Summer during her meeting with the surrogacy consultant and did his best to show some moral support. Meanwhile, Todd (Gareth Pierce) told Paul (Peter Ash) about his plan to investigate the couple’s background as he believed that they are hiding something wrong.

During his interview with The Mirror, Daniel Brocklebank hinted about the couple’s future plot in the cobbles. “Oh, I can’t say anything. They are obviously… there’s something a little bit sinister about them I think and watching them onscreen… a lot of their scenes were without me, so it’s interesting to see it unfolding as a viewer. But there will be plenty of twists and turns before the storyline finishes, yeah,” he revealed.

In the upcoming scenes of “Coronation Street,” Billy pretends to support Summer with her decision because he is not totally into the surrogacy idea. On the other hand, Paul is surprised to see the man going along with the plan, but Billy admits that he is not supportive of it. “I’m not feeling great about this,” he stated.

However, as he is determined to keep Summer safe, the loving father continues to show moral support with the surrogacy plan. How will Billy stop Summer with the plan?
