Coronation Street Reveals Griff Reynolds’ Secret Backer

Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Griff Reynolds’ (Michael Condron) secret backer was finally revealed. Spider Nugent’s (Martin Hancock) theory that someone is providing financial support to the extremist gang leader was proven to be true.

Fans may recall that Spider reported back to his colleagues that Griff is someone who has been funding the latter’s activities. In the episode that aired on December 19, it was revealed that Maria Connor’s (Samia Longchambon) political rival, Councillor Cameron (Mark Murphy), is Griff’s financial backer.

Griff met with Councillor Cameron in secret, asking for more money to create further far-right videos. When asked what he will gain from giving him more cash, Griff said that their activities will “drag the political landscape to the right – just how you like it.” The corrupt politician gave in to Griff’s demands and hoped that their alliance would remain under wraps.

Coronation Street  Spoilers – Max Turner And David Platt Clash On Christmas Day

Fans know that Griff has been grooming Max and he’s been taking advantage of his skills to spread the message that their extremist group is promoting. In upcoming scenes, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) and Max Turner (Paddy Beaver) will clash during the holiday season.

During Christmas Day, Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls), Gail Platt (Helen Worth), Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), David, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), Max, Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) will get together and exchange presents at the Bistro. Spoilers hint that Max’s extremist storyline would reach its climax in the New Year. During that time, Max will start to realize that maybe Griff is not who he thinks he is. He’ll start to worry that maybe Griff has planned something deadly for the Weatherfield Peace Market.
