Coronation Street” spoilers have teased for a light at the end of the tunnel for victim Adam Barlow as Carla Connor might become his savior in this losing game against sinister Lydia Chambers.

Adam (Sam Robertson) continues to suffer under the fury of his revengeful ex Lydia Chambers (Rebecca Ryan). His wife Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) has lost her trust in him, leaving their marriage in tatters. However, new spoilers showed that Carla Connor (Alison King) will talk her out not to trust Lydia completely but will she listen?

Lydia has fooled everyone in Weatherfield that Adam is cheating on his wife with her. Her claims were backed up by receipts, threatening text messages, and fraudulent bank statements, all planted and crafted by Lydia for her favor which cost Adam his career and marriage.

Next week in the ITV soap, the solicitor hits another low as he gets tired of fighting for his innocence especially now that the residents are against him.

Adam turns to booze to drown his sorrows and under the influence with alcohol, he flirts with another woman at the Rovers. Adam makes a huge mistake when he claims that his wife died in an accident that’s why he’s sad but fortunately the barmaid Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) was there to inform his uncle Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).

Daniel comes to his rescue and breaks it to the woman that Adam’s wife is very much alive. He puts wisdom in Adam’s head to patch things up with Sarah but the next day he gets rejected because of his hungover state.

Things get intense when Adam spots Lydia in the streets and declares he’s going to fight back to prove his innocence. But how will he do it?

Corrie fans are hoping the businesswoman can shed light on this matter as she advises Sarah not to make hasty decisions in cutting ties with Adam because Lydia seems suspicious. Will she unearth more of Lydia’s evil schemes?

“Coronation Street” also confirmed that the actress Rebecca Ryan already finished her final scenes last month as she’ll be leaving the soap soon her storyline with Adam ends.

“Towards the end of the storyline, you do see a different side to her, you don’t just see her ruining Adam’s life for no reason,” she told Digital Spy.
