Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Lydia Chambers will soon step out from Weatherfield as her storyline with Adam Barlow ends.

Rebecca Ryan, who plays Lydia Chambers, joined the cast of the longest-running soap last December 2021. Lydia made a great impression in her debut, especially when she became friends with Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien). However, the moment she knew about her new friend’s husband, Adam Barlow, she decided to give chaos to the couple’s marriage.

Sarah kicked out her husband from their flat when Lydia convinced her that she was having an affair with Adam. After bearing all of their relationship issues, Adam decided to face the troubles and defend himself against Lydia’s accusations.

Now that her storyline with Adam Barlow is about to end, Digital Spy confirmed that more dramas will be revealed in the upcoming weeks as Ryan already filmed some of her last scenes early last month.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Rebecca Ryan Talks About Her Character Lydia Chambers

When asked about her thoughts as her character will soon leave the street, Rebecca Ryan teased that the viewers will see a different side of her character and will get to understand why she has to take revenge on Adam Barlow.

“You can sort of understand why she’s doing it and hopefully people will start to see that and have a bit of sympathy for her and start to realize she’s not a bad person at all, she’s actually a nice person but has been hurt very badly,” she said.

On the other hand, Sam Robertson, who plays Adam Barlow in the soap, revealed that his character has been through dark times and is confused why Lydia suddenly popped into their lives and shook their world. In the next scenes, he teased that he will fully understand the matter and see if he will make amends with the issues.

As she continues to ruin Sarah and Adam’s relationship, the 30-year-old actress admitted that her character receives “a lot of hate” from people online, expressing how they dislike Lydia Chambers and how awful she was for making Sarah Barlow’s life a mess.

Amidst all the negative comments regarding her character, Ryan was happy knowing that people were following her story on Coronation Street. “It’s great that people are so invested in the storyline and getting so into it, and I’ve had lovely messages from people saying they’re enjoying it,” she told OK! Magazine.
