Coronation Street spoilers have documented Craig Tinker is about to let go of an important thing to him after his girlfriend Faye Windass confesses to her part in the pensioner’s death.

Currently on the viewers’ screens, Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) and the rest of his team are closer to discovering more evidence that connects to Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) about Ted’s (Duggie Brown) death.

For weeks, Faye (Ellie Leach) and Emma have managed to hide their involvement in the old man’s death, which was later revealed that he died due to a blood clot triggered by their accident. But the girls are no experts in hiding a crime and soon more evidence will come to light which will force the beginner driver Faye to come clean to her police boyfriend.

The last straw for the pair will be when Craig announces to them that the police put an efit of the girl who signed Ted’s package and it mysteriously looks like Emma. It’s a dead-end for the girls and on Friday’s (January 28) episode Faye will finally confess to Craig.

Despite hearing Faye’s revelations, Craig remains to be in love with her, but his conscience will also get in the way, which will lead the man to sacrifice his job.

Instead of reporting Faye to the authorities, Craig decides to leave the force because he can’t bear to join his team in conducting another thorough search of Ted’s flat.

His mom Beth (Lisa George) gets word about his decision when she hears Faye searching for jobs at the factory for him. Beth confronts her child about his abrupt career change, and Craig assures her it’s all on him. Will Beth believe him? Or will she continue to dig for more information?

Corrie star Ellie Leach who plays Faye Windass in the ITV soap has revealed people are getting affected by her character’s current storyline of knocking down a pensioner.

When asked if she gets booed in the street, Faye told Metro that the viewers previously loved her storylines but now that she’s covering up for Ted’s death, people are turning against her.

“People felt sorry for her when she went to prison but now they’re turning against her and calling her ruthless. They’ll come up to me in the street and say: ‘I can’t believe you ran over an old man and just left him to die!’” she revealed.

Ellie explained that although she can’t sympathize with Faye covering up for her crime, she totally understands why she doesn’t want to tell anyone and that’s because she doesn’t want to return to prison. “She’s not purposely rebellious, she just makes lots of mistakes,” she added.
