Coronation Street Spoilers – George Shuttleworth Gets Falsely Accused

At the undertaker, George and Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) discuss the funeral arrangements for Mr. Little. Later on, they realize that there are two Mrs. Littles and both women have no idea that their husbands cheated on them.

As they continue to discuss how they can make sure that both women don’t meet, Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) overhears their conversation and immediately assumes that George is cheating.

Sean tells Eileen that George doesn’t have a cat but another woman aside from her. The bombshell will leave her heartbroken and furious. She’ll march into the Rovers to confront George and Todd. Is this the end for George and Eileen?

What will she do when she learns that it was all a misunderstanding? How will George react at the false accusation?

Coronation Street Spoilers – Is Tony Maudsley Leaving Coronation Street?

Some fans may be wondering if Maudsley is leaving the show. The good news is that the actor isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. He revealed that he renewed his contract with the show and he’ll be on the ITV series until at least July 2023.

“That’s me (and George) all signed up to Corrie till at least July 2023 and I couldn’t be happier!” the actor tweeted.

Maudsley joined the show back in September 2020 after his father’s, Archie Shuttleworth (Roy Hudd), death. He took over their family business and opened another branch on Victoria Street.

Earlier this year, Coronation Street producer, Iain MacLeod told Digital Spy that he’s always on the lookout for when both men will engage in another fight. So far, their confrontation at Christmas was “the best thing” he’s ever seen. He teased that fans will see more of their comedy feud as their storyline progresses.

“I think I know what Fiz’s happy ending looks like, but it’s going to be a long, brilliant and complicated story for both of them,” he said.

“Once you’ve been hurt and humiliated like Fiz has, even if you find yourself wanting your ex back, is it that straightforward? Will pride, and your family, let you?” he added.

He also said that they will give fans some cause to question the motives of Fiz’s new boyfriend. He didn’t drop any more clues but Macleod hinted that Fiz will face a huge dilemma later on.

MacLeod hinted that it’ll be a “cracking year” for these characters. Aside from that, fans can expect Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) to make the storyline interesting.
