Coronation Street Spoilers: Eileen Plays Detective Over Suspicions That George May Be Cheating

Coronation Street spoilers and updates tease that Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) will play detective as she becomes suspicious that George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) may be having another woman on the side. It all begins when George declines Eileen’s invitation because of his overprotective cat.

Spoilers hint that there will be a misunderstanding between Eileen and George. She starts to have a feeling that the latter is hiding something from her, perhaps a secret relationship with another woman.

Fans may recall that Eileen and George have been through a lot in their relationship but they eventually managed to get it back on track. But they’ll come across another setback when George declines Eileen’s offer to have dinner and spend the night over.

George immediately declines her offer and makes an excuse about his overly protective cat named Ridley. His rejection left Eileen feeling hurt and wondering if he was hiding something. She confides in Mary Taylor (Patti Clare), who starts to wonder if George really has a cat or if he’s only making up an excuse to avoid spending the night with Eileen.

Eileen asks for Sean Tully’s (Antony Cotton) help to verify if George’s cat story was true. When she tries to confront George, the latter becomes furious with her antics.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Sean Tully Misunderstands Todd Grimshaw And George Shutteworth’s Conversation

Later on, George and Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) discuss the funeral arrangement for Mr. Little. The pair learn that Mr. Little has two wives, who are unaware of their situation.

Sean overhears the pair’s discussion about making sure that the two women don’t find out about each other. He immediately misunderstands that George is having an affair. Sean reports to Eileen and the latter storms into the Rover to confront George and Todd.

Fortunately, Eileen eventually learns the truth. She’ll then invite George to spend the night even though it’s clear that the latter is uncomfortable with the idea. But Eileen manages to convince George and he stays.

The following day, Eileen looks happy and says that she enjoyed the previous night with George. Is this the end of Eileen’s suspicions? Will the pair enjoy their romantic relationship without any hiccup?

Tony Maudsley was happy to reveal that he’s staying in Coronation Street for a while. He shared that he renewed his contract with the show and he’ll be staying in Corrie at least until 2023. This is good news since it means his character will have more time to explore his developing romance with Eileen.
