Coronation Street spoilers reveal that George Shuttleworth will break her new flame Eileen Grimshaw’s heart by revealing he’s been hiding her ex- Pat Phelan’s ashes.

George (Tony Maudsley) and Eileen (Sue Cleaver) have been struggling to develop their love/hate relationship with both of them fighting against great timing.

On their previous date, Eileen let slip through her lips that she doesn’t like George’s living for making money from the dead. How will she react if she finds out that George is involved in keeping Corrie’s mass killer Pat Phelan’s (played by Connor McIntyre) ashes all this time?

It’s obvious that the undertaker George would like to take his chance on Eileen, but he has to come clean to her first for hiding a secret she would surely hate.

Coronation Street Spoilers  – Happening This week

Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) literally takes the matter into his hands by stealing Phelan’s urn to dispose of it himself, as he doesn’t trust George to keep his promise. It was last week when Todd discovered George’s secret and the undertaker vowed to get rid of it properly, explaining that he’s just been waiting for the perfect timing to tell Eileen.

Time is the ultimate truth teller indeed, for Eileen enters the room the moment Phelan’s ashes are flying over the room. It is after George gives chase after catching Todd red-handed for trying to run away with the urn. Can she still trust them?

Although Todd is against George’s secret, he doesn’t want to embarrass him in front of his love interest Eileen either, so Todd is forced to betray and lie to his mother.

Eileen is saddened to know that the ashes belong to an old lady who’s living alone named Patsy Freeman and requests George to give the woman a respectful send-off.

George is overcome by guilt when he learns Eileen prepares a eulogy for Patsy and is forced to confess to her his awful secret. Feeling betrayed, Eileen walks out and orders Todd to bug off.

Later, George expresses his regrets to Eileen and consults her on how she would like to send off Phelan’s ashes. When George does exactly what she asks, she releases forgiveness to George.
