After much deliberation whether or not to sell Number 9, Tyrone (Alan Halsall) recently agreed to let the property go so his estranged partner Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) can have a new life away from the cobbles.
Fiz was promised by boyfriend Phill Whittaker (Jamie Kenna) there’s a house for her and her girls and this broke Tyrone’s heart as he still has feelings for her and would want to reunite.
However, in Tyrone’s favor, Fiz receives some bad news that their renovation plans are thwarted as Phill can no longer afford it after getting the consequences of his involvement in politics.

In upcoming scenes, Phil places himself in trouble when he helps a hopeless running councilor Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon), who’s advocating for less pollution in Weatherfield.

Feeling intimidated by her rival, Maria confides with Phill she believes it’s best to throw in the towel. But he offers her help by hatching a plan to impede her rival’s progress. Phil makes a confidential report about the dangers of local air pollution which Maria’s opponent has been favoring the advantages of the bypass and turning a blind eye to the consequences for years already.
Although Maria gets the upper hand with this move, Phil loses his job, which affects his plans on moving in with Fiz. Will Tyrone do something to win Fiz back while Phill’s hands are full?
Fiz will also feel left behind when she discovers Maria and Phill are getting close to each other. Will this create a rift between the two?

Things don’t happen as planned for Fiz as the sinkhole incident on the cobbles discourages potential clients to buy and she’s faced with the challenge of dropping the price for Number 9.

Later in the week, an expectant Tyrone for a reunion with Fiz makes a huge sacrifice which touches Fiz’s heart. When he learns about the pricing options, he decides to give it a go.
An estate agent reveals to Fiz that it was Tyrone who instructed to lower the price to advance the sale so Fiz thanks her former partner.
However, Corrie revealed that despite Tyrone’s efforts, he hears heartbreaking news from Fiz. She makes a huge decision to move with Phill despite the financial challenge and announces she’ll be moving sooner with her beau as they have agreed to work on the renovation themselves.
