Coronation Street Spoilers: Freda Burgess Returns To Weatherfield

Coronation Street: Freda Burgess (Ali Briggs) Coronation Street spoilers and updates reveal a familiar face will return to the Cobbles next week. Spoilers hint that Freda Burgess (Ali Briggs) will be back on Weatherfield to help Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) decide what’s best for their son Aled Winter-Brown (Harry & Harvey Thompson). Freda’s return will mark her first appearance on the cobbles since 2019 when she was last seen moving away with Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden).

Coronation Street Spoilers – Aled Winer-Brown’s Profound Permanent Hearing Loss

Fans may recall that Chesney and Gemma found out that their baby son Aled has profound permanent hearing loss in both of his ears. Gemma was left devastated when she learned that her son has been deaf since birth and has never heard her voice. Chesney tries to comfort Gemma and assures her that they will both be there for their son.

The pair went through various treatment options but they eventually decided to learn sign language. Both Gemma and Chesney want what’s best for Aled but they’ll butt heads on how to move forward after learning that their son is an ideal candidate for a cochlear implant operation.

Coronation Street Spoilers  – Chesney Brown Turns To Freda Burgess For Help

Chesney is open to the idea but Gemma is having second thoughts. Later on, the latter reveals that she doesn’t want Aled to have the operation because of the risks involved.

Gemma’s decision doesn’t sit well with Chesney so she asks Freda for help. Freda, who’s also deaf, discusses the pros and cons of the procedure with Gemma. She tries to assure her that Aled will be fine. However, Gemma stands firm in her decision, which will leave Chesney frustrated. Will they manage to convince Gemma that the operation is what’s best for Aled?

Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) will continue her downward spiral following the death of Seb (Harry Visinoni) and the court’s decision to grant Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) bail. She starts flirting with older men and ends up going to a hotel bar with one. Later on, she sees Corey having a good time with Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn). She humiliates Corey and tells the people he’s with that he killed her boyfriend. Corey and Tommy leave the bar but Nina follows with Corey’s award in hand. What is she planning to do with the award?

Meanwhile, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is back and needs to decide whether to help the police put Harvey behind bars for good by providing evidence that can be used against him in his upcoming court trial.
