Gemma Winter’s Secret

Corrie spoilers reveal that for the past few months, Gemma has been suffering in silence. She has postpartum depression (also referred to as postnatal depression). The only person who knows what she is going through is her mother, Bernie.

Bernie has tried to get Gemma to talk to a doctor, but she wasn’t honest about her symptoms. She also swore her mother to secrecy and wants to be sure that Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) doesn’t find out.

Last week, Bernie came for a visit, hearing that something wasn’t quite right with her daughter on the phone. Bernie has only been in Chesney and Gemma’s house for a week, but things are already getting tense. Bernie hasn’t been the best mother and is prone to selfishness. However, she genuinely loves Gemma and is concerned about her welfare. She doesn’t want anything horrible happening.

Depression Will Get Worse

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Gemma’s depression will continue to get worse. Even though she does get a ray of sunshine when her baby gets his hearing aids, that will be short-lived. Gemma is starting to have disturbing dreams about hurting her quadruplets. It’s a warning sign and Gemma is trying to pretend that everything is okay, when clearly it is not.

Coronation Street Spoilers: Kicking Mother to the Curb

After Gemma’s son is fitted with hearing aids, she will tell Bernie that everything is fine and dandy. She tells Bernie now everything will be smooth sailing from here on out. Gemma insists that there is no reason for Bernie to continue staying with her and boots her out after only one week.
