Later on, Bernie overheard Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) teasing his dad over his non-existent love life. Bernie immediately pretended that she dropped by to go on a date with the shop owner. The pair went out on their fake date and things escalated quickly when Dev invited Bernie back to No.7.

Asha explained how Aadi walked in on Bernie and Dev. Aadi also said that they’ve been winding them up about going out and if it was only a joke, they surely took it too far.

Will Mary’s Discovery of Bernie and Dev’s Night of Passion Cause Her to Leave the Cobbles?

Mary has been trying to keep her feelings for Dev to herself and hearing this would cause her so much hurt. She’s been taking care of the twins for so long and Bernie’s romantic relationship with Dev could mean that she’ll be taking on her mothering role.

Mary fears that she’ll be replaced and begins to spread rumors about Dev and Bernie being together. Bernie and Mary eventually butt heads and the latter accuses her of taking advantage of Dev. She also warns Bernie to stay away from him. Will this be enough reason for Mary to exit the cobbles?
