Coronation Street Spoilers: Jack Webster In Intensive Care With Sepsis, Will He Die?

Coronation Street Spoilers: Jack Webster In Intensive Care With Sepsis, Will He Die?It looks like Coronation Street fans will soon have to embrace themselves for yet another tragic death of one of their favorite characters. It will be one very emotional episode that you won’t want to miss.

According to teasers, Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes) tells his sister that he’s feeling unwell, but she packs him up and tells him to go to school anyway. However, when he is sent home after feeling drowsy, she takes him to a nearby medical center. Doctors diagnose him with a viral infection and Sophie (Brooke Vincent) is told that he can recover at home.

Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse though when Dr. Ali Neeson (James Burrows) pays them a visit. He insists that they call an ambulance when he notices that jack’s fingers and toes are discolored. At the hospital, everyone is devastated when they find out that Jack has sepsis and that there’s a strong chance he might die.

Speaking about the emotional scene, actress Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie in Coronation Street, told Express.co.uk, “Jack’s sedates in intensive care and once sepsis is confirmed it becomes clear his life is in the balance. Sophie is praying he pulls through so when they hear he isn’t responding to the antibiotics as well as they’d hoped, they’re devastated. It’s not until they get to the hospital that Ali mentions sepsis. Sophie doesn’t really know what it is or what it means, but she can see things are moving quickly and she’s terrified.”

So does this mean that the end is near for Jack? Perhaps so. Brooke added, “They’re told the next 24 hours will be crucial and Sophie and Kevin are just left clinging to that.”
