Coronation Street: Jenny Connor Coronation Street spoilers have teased that Jenny Connor feels awkward when she spends more time with Leo Thompkins even if they are getting much involved with each other and still hesitant to pursue the young man due to their huge age difference.

Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) is still moving on from her long-time lover Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) who sacrificed himself when she fell into the Platt’s sinkhole. It was the greatest culmination of their love as Johnny expressed he still loves her despite separating ways when both had a history of cheating.

Although she’s immersed in grief, another love interest Leo (Joe Frost) is on the move to help her move on from her past. However, Jenny is still hesitant although she’s interested in him because their roads don’t meet sometimes as they have opposite perspectives due to their age gap.

In upcoming episodes, Jenny will face an inner battle for she will be stuck between pursuing her happiness and being conscious about other people’s opinions.

During his annual interview with the media, “Coronation Street’s” executive producer, Iain MacLeod hinted at what’s ahead for Jenny Connor as her story further unfolds in the portals of Weatherfield.

MacLeod revealed that the storyline of Jenny and Leo addresses the issue of romantic relationships between younger men and older women. “On the way there, Jenny has to overcome her own internalized prejudices of what this is: ‘Am I a cougar? Does he have some kind of fetish for older women?’ It’s played like a rom-com with incredibly funny bits in it,” MacLeod stated as documented by Digital Spy.

Is Leo really into Jenny or does he have other intentions? Will Jenny give the young man a chance or will she just use him to cover her pain over Johnny?

The executive producer MacLeod also mentioned the iconic Rover’s Inn, which is understandably not the happiest place as it was before when the pandemic struck.

He assured fans to get the Rovers dynamics back to life as the production finally got the right people with the right chemistry, and this includes Daisy (Charlotte Jordan), Sean (Antony Cotton), Ryan (Ryan Prescott), Emma (Alexandra Mardell), Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell), and Jenny. He even described the latter as “a mother figure trying to wrangle her wayward children all together.”

“It’s going to be brilliant,” MacLeod hinted. Will Leo add more colors to the Inn? How will their romantic story play out at the pub?
