Coronation Street Spoilers: Shona Emerges From Coma But Doesn’t Recognize David

Upcoming episodes on “Coronation Street” will see Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) emerge from a coma. Although this means she’s slowly recovering, David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) will be left devastated when she doesn’t recognize him. He’ll do whatever he can to help her regain her memories but will his plan work?

Corrie Spoilers – Shona Ramsey Wakes Up From Coma

David received some good news when Shona managed to breathe on her own after doctors removed her breathing tube. Spoilers reveal that Shona’s eyes flicker momentarily after David plays a recording of Max (Harry McDermott) and Lily (Brooke Malonie) for her at the hospital. Later on, she manages to open her eyes, albeit briefly. What should be a happy moment will leave David feeling devastated as Shone emerges from her coma with amnesia.

She’ll be unable to recognize him when she regains full consciousness. Doctors will explain that it may take up to one year before Shona starts to get back her memories.

Shepherd said his alter ego thought that once Shona wakes up, she’ll “wrap her arms around him, but that’s not the case at all. She opens her eyes and doesn’t know who he is.”

He added that his character will feel gutted especially since he’s always been by her bedside waiting for her to wake up. What’s worse is that she doesn’t even know who she is.

Shepherd hinted that David will try to trigger her memory but to no avail. He’ll even plan to bring the kids to see her but the rest of the Platt family won’t be on board.

When Shona sees Max, she’ll mistake him for Clayton. Max will storm out, feeling horrified. David won’t give up. He’ll still attempt to jog her memory by bringing their wedding album. But her reaction won’t be what David expected. She’ll freak out and declare that she never wants to see him again.

“The doctors start to say they’ve done all they can for Shona at this point and she needs more specialist help. David’s adamant he’ll be there every step of the way, he’s not giving up on her,” Shepherd continued.
