“Coronation Street’s” Simon Gregson, who plays Steve McDonald in the soap, has revealed an upcoming death in the cobbles for the year 2022 during his exclusive interview in Good Morning Britain.
Gregson has confirmed that it will not be his character. “It’s not me. I don’t know who it is but now you’ve got me worried because I’ve been about the game so long, I’m not sure if I’ve signed my new contract yet. Who knows!” he told the hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Bacon.
He also stated that actors could be part of the show for a long time, just like Bill Roache, who plays Ken Barlow in the soap, but oftentimes, nobody has an idea when they are going to leave the cobbles. “You can’t relax as such because one year, they could say, ‘we’ve decided you’re out.’ They like to keep you in total fear,” Gregson said.
Knowing about the upcoming death this year, will there be another traumatic disaster in Weatherfield?
‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Gives Funny Storyline On Simon Gregson’s “Winnie The Pooh” Body Figure
During his stay in the Welsh Castle, Simon Gregson declared that he already looked like Winnie The Pooh and King Henry VIII, and this led the longest-running drama to create banter for his character’s storyline.
In this upcoming Friday episode, Steve McDonald will receive a late Christmas gift from his mom, Liz (Beverley Callard). He excitedly opens the gift and sees an XXL size red T-Shirt that says “Steve” printed in front of the shirt. Surprised by its size, Steve shouts, “How big does she think I am?”

Corrie Spoilers – Late Christmas Gift
Aware of his increasing pounds during the time he joined “I’m A Celebrity,” Simon Gregson stated he needs to lose weight and the food inside the castle seems to motivate him to pursue his body goals.
“This show is a bit of a hard schlep because the food isn’t great – rice and beans all the time, but for me, it’s a bonus. I desperately need to lose weight so I’m looking at it as the worst boot camp in the world,” he said as documented by Daily Star.
Gregson left the show bagging the second-place as Emmerdale’s Danny Miller got the King of the Castle title. With so many pounds lost during the show, he kept himself a promise to maintain his ideal weight and try to “live a healthier lifestyle.”
