Coronation Street spoilers reveal Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford) decide to leave the cobbles. This happens right after a heartbroken Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell) decides to move in with them. Steve and Tracy will head to Scotland to visit Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard). As fans recall, he left to cope with his intense grief after his wife’s death from cancer.

Daniel Osbourne’s Grief Retreat

Corrie spoilers reveal Daniel had a hard time coping after Sinead Osbourne’s (formerly Katie McGlynn) death. He had a brief fling with Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon), but she eventually realized that Daniel wasn’t ready.
This ultimately resulted in Steve, Tracy, and Ken Barlow (William Roache) to push him into a retreat in Scotland. He didn’t want to go at first for fear of leaving his baby boy, but that is when Beth Sutherland (Lisa George) promised to stay nearby so the father/son bond would stay intact.

After going through some personal drama themselves, Steve and Tracy will decide they need to leave the cobbles for a bit. They decide to visit Daniel in Scotland and see how he and baby Bertie Osbourne (Ellis Blaine Ellias and Rufus Morgan-Smith).

Coronation Street spoilers don’t reveal just how long Steve and Tracy will be gone. It shouldn’t be for months, but perhaps a few weeks. Of course, it will seem longer to viewers now that production is halted and the soap has a reduced number of episodes airing each week.

In the meantime, Emma just moved in with them after she broke things off with Sebastian “Seb” Franklin (Harry Visinoni). He punched David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) over Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu). It’s what made Emma know for sure that Seb wasn’t as in love with her as she was with him.

Steve and Tracy tell her they are going away for a bit and want to know if she will be okay. She assures them that she will be just fine, but could she go through a tougher time than she’ll admit? Just the fact that she claims she will be just fine is sending alarm bells.
