Coronation Street Spoilers: Steve Punches Jacob After Amy Lands In Hospital

Coronation Street spoilers have revealed Steve and Jacob will come to blows following Amy’s drink spiking incident which will endanger her life.

Troublemaker Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan) has returned to the cobbles to start a new life after grooming Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) in 2021 which also spiraled to Natasha Blakeman’s (Rachel Leskovac) death in a mistaken identity instead of Simon’s adoptive mother, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson).

In recent weeks he has grown closer with his love interest Amy (Elle Mulvaney) after assuring her he’s a changed person. But his identity is soon put to test when Amy falls victim to drink spiking in upcoming episodes.

It all starts on Valentine’s Day with Jacob inviting the group Asha (Tanisha Gorey), Summer (Harriet Bibby), and Amy to a night out club after the school’s Valentine’s Dance.

The girls, together with Aadi (Adam Hussain) agreed to meet up with Jacob outside the club but their fun night soon turns horrifying when Amy becomes unsteady while on the dance floor and collapses.

Jacob immediately jumps to her rescue and orders the rest of the team to call for an ambulance while he puts her in the recovery position. Will Amy recover?

Amy’s parents Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) are panic-stricken after seeing her in the hospital and the protective father is quick to accuse Jacob of spiking Amy’s drink.

When the blood tests come out, it’s confirmed that Amy has taken GHB and Jacob thinks someone must’ve spiked her drink before they arrived at the club. But Steve continues to blame Jacob, leading the latter to reveal he’s in a relationship with his daughter and that he wouldn’t put her life at stake.

Jacob’s revelation stirs the family in upcoming scenes on February 16. The nurse announces that Amy was saved because someone put her in the recovery position. and Asha is quick to reveal it was Jacob.

Although they’re assured that Amy should make a full recovery Steve firmly stands he wants Jacob away from the teenager.

Jacob’s romantic confession concludes with a punch while the police questions Amy about the incident which she and Tracy see Steve punching the young man.

When Amy recovers, she declares no one should decide for her to see Jacob or not which prompts Leanne to intervene. Will Amy fight for their relationship? Or will she be forced to let him go?
