Coronation Street Spoilers: Tim Metcalfe Terrified, Needs Life Saving Operation

Coronation Street spoilers have teased that Tim Metcalfe will be scared when his doctor informs him of a possibly fatal heart attack and advises him to undergo a triple heart bypass.

During his appointment with the cardiologist, Tim (Joe Duttine) is shocked with his deteriorating health condition and learns his need for an operation for him to live longer. After knowing his health information, he spends his time at his office worrying about how to tell his wife, Sally (Sally Dynevor).

Upon returning home, Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw) advises Tim to see his doctor again and ask for the possibilities if he’ll undergo the operation. Tim visits his doctor once more and when he receives his operating schedule, fear is devouring him.

‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers – Triple Heart Bypass

When Tim finally possesses the courage to tell Sally about the triple heart bypass, he sees his wife devastated after realizing Sophie Webster’s (Brooke Vincent) involvement in a moped accident in Crete that resulted in the latter’s broken wrist.

After a stressful day, Sally invites her husband to spend time in a hot tub but Tim immediately declines, which hurts Sally again. She remains downhearted until Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) tells her about Tim buying a bouquet. After knowing her husband’s sweet gesture, Sally’s face lights up.

But the flowers are not for Sally, though, as later that day Tim drops by at No. 3 offering Aggie the bouquet as a token for her support in his medical journey.

Knowing that the bouquet is not for her, will Sally believe he is cheating? When will Tim finally get the courage to tell the truth to his wife?

“Coronations Street’s” producer Iain MacLeod has teased the soap’s avid viewers about the future storyline of every character in the cobbles. As for Tim and Sally, MacLeod hinted about the massive challenge that they will face, which will test them as an individual and as a couple.

“What starts off small ends up being this colossal threat to what Tim and Sally think they know about each other, themselves, and the nature of their relationship, and what that might look like for the rest of their lives together. It’s massive,” MacLeod said as documented by Digital Spy.

MacLeod also revealed there were pitches of tearing the iconic couple apart during story conferences and pairing them to other characters but the producer stuck with Tim and Sally for they “feel right together and are peas in a pod.”
