Coronation Street Spoilers: Tisha Merry Breaks Silence On Possible Return To Corrie

Tisha Merry speaks out on a possible return to “Coronation Street.” The actress reiterated that she’s just on a little break. She made it clear that she’s not ruling out the possibility of reprising her role as Steph Britton in the show.

Viewers may recall that Merry joined the soap back in 2013. She stayed for four years and then made a brief appearance in 2018, for the funeral of her on-screen brother.

Merry took to YouTube to explain her side. She said, “I didn’t leave to never go back like I said I left for a little break.”

The actress referred to her experience with the show as the best one in her life and the hardest years as well. She revealed that the sudser helped her grow in so many ways.

“I enjoyed it, it was something I’d never really done before and I made some lifetime friends, and met some incredible people, and I would never say never to going back,” she explained.

“I think the older I get, the more I’m like ‘I’ve done the things I want to do now, I’m happy, I need to settle and stay in one place,” she continued.

“Corrie was amazing for that,” she added.

“Some of my proudest moments were at Corrie and I would never, ever say no to going back. But, I am really glad I took the decision to take a break and find out who I am,” she went on.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Taking A Break To Try New Things

Merry added that she has nothing against the acting industry. However, she also pointed out the fact that she had her own struggles, especially since she auditions a lot. She continued to say that she took a break so she could try other things,

“I kind of wanted a little break and to dip my fingers in other pies and just experiment with what else is out there.”

She added that she was still young when she joined the sudser. So, the break gave her the chance to travel, do other things, and be a bit more carefree.

“I would love to be back on TV, would love more acting jobs and hopefully in the future that will happen,” Merry said.
