Coronation Street Works On Sarah Platt and Adam Barlow’s Wedding Scenes

“Coronation Street” is lining up several exciting storylines this year and that includes the wedding of Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and Adam Barlow (Samuel Robertson). New pictures taken by paparazzi photographers showed some of the actors filming the upcoming wedding scenes.  PHOTOS HERE!

Sarah and Adam Ties The Knot

The snaps showed the pair shooting scenes at Manchester Hall in Manchester city center. Sarah and Adam were both dressed for the occasion. The photos also show the newlywed couple sharing their first kiss as husband and wife.

Other Actors Spotted on the Scene

Other actors were also spotted in attendance including Gail Platt (Helen Worth), Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), and David Platt (Jack P Shepherd). Other performers were also seen including Alison King (Carla Connor), Elle Mulvaney (Amy Barlow), Kate Ford (Tracy McDonald), Lisa George (Beth Tinker), Rula Lenska (Claudia Colby) and Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald)

It will take a while before the wedding scenes will be aired. Viewers just have to delight in the news that they’ll eventually tie the knot. The wedding of Sara and Adam marks the union of two of the legendary clans in Weatherfield, the Barlows and the Platts.

The Scary Wedding Proposal

Viewers may recall that Adam and Sarah got engaged during the soap’s Christmas Day special when Derek Milligan (Craig Els) wreaked havoc on the cobbles. At that time, the two hid in the local Winter Wonderland and feared for their lives. Adam decided to pop the question right then and there and Sarah gladly said yes.

O’Brien’s Take On Sarah’s Wedding

O’Brien said, “’ It feels a bit Romeo and Juliet and historic! It would be a bit strange not being a Platt any more though, but of all the other families on the street to marry into, the Barlows are the one I’d choose.”

“Sarah was meant to marry Jason Grimshaw but he climbed out of the toilet window in the church and jilted her, then when they eventually did get married her brother David faked his suicide and drove into the canal just for the attention,” she continued. She said she wants her character to have a “peaceful and happy” wedding, one with no big fuss or any drama.

Viewers have to wait and see if the wedding goes according to plan or if there will be drama at the aisle or after the wedding.
