Lauren’s Shock
Next week in Corrie, Lauren faces a shocking revelation that leads to a significant mistake. At the hospital, the doctor informs her that her son, Frankie Bolton (Roman Thresh), is recovering well and will soon be able to go home.
However, when a nurse brings a package for Frankie, Lauren notices the prison stamp and is disturbed to find out it’s from her estranged father, Reece Bolton (Scott Anson).
Later, Lauren decides to visit Reece in prison, but what will he say to her? The next day, Lauren gets caught up in the turmoil caused by Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin), who confronts Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) and Carla Connor (Alison King) for putting her life at risk.
Betsy Storms Out, Lauren Goes After Her
Mum Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) attempts to soothe Betsy, but she angrily leaves. Lauren discovers Betsy vandalizing the florist van, directing her anger at Tracy for Rob Donovan’s (Marc Baylis) recent outburst.
As Lauren tries to intervene, Tracy comes near, causing Lauren to panic and speed away in the van with Betsy. At the precinct, they survey the damaged van after Lauren wrecks it.
With Lauren confessing that she doesn’t have a driver’s license just as the police show up, what kind of trouble are the girls about to face?
Debbie’s Panic
Wes Fuller (Kevin Finn) and Zoe Harker (Natalie Blair) visit Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) to express their apologies, and the discussion proves to be very productive.
Dee-Dee informs Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) that the two medical professionals have committed to advocating for additional training that emphasizes Black maternity experiences. Feeling optimistic, Dee-Dee decides to return to her job.
However, as the week progresses, she finds herself in a troubling situation. Debbie is caring for baby Laila Bailey (Raiya Walton), Dee-Dee’s newborn daughter, whom she has chosen to place for adoption within the family.
Baby Laila Falls Ill On Debbie’s Watch
Upon discovering that Laila has a fever, Debbie informs Roy Cropper (David Neilson) of her decision to take the child to the doctor, prompting a worried Dee-Dee to accompany them. At the hospital, tests are conducted, and Laila’s temperature is successfully lowered.
However, when Debbie realizes that the formula she provided was intended for infants aged three to six months, she starts to feel responsible for the situation. She’s especially worried as she is currently awaiting a dementia diagnosis. Should Debbie feel guilty about this?
Dylan’s Danger
Dylan becomes aggressive when fellow inmate Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) keeps provoking him at the STC-taunting with homophobic remarks about Sean Tully (Antony Cotton).
This pushes Dylan to his breaking point; he retaliates by punching Brody, sending him to the ground and kicking him-what repercussions will Dylan face?
On the outside, Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) threatens Sean, warning him that if he troubles Brody again, there will be serious consequences.
Mick then invites Gemma Winter-Brown (Dolly-Rose Campbell) to have tea with him and his wife Lou (Farrel Hegarty), but Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) advises Gemma to avoid them.
Meanwhile, Sean overhears Lou confirming the tea with Gemma and is enraged to see his friend and colleague aligning with the enemy.
Todd’s Secret At Risk
A gloomy Todd confides in Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) that he doubts Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) will ever find the courage to reveal his true sexuality to his family.
Meanwhile, Theo’s wife, Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson), informs George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) about Sarah’s flirtation with Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) while she is meant to be with Todd.
Amused, George clarifies Todd’s sexuality to her. Angered, Danielle sees Sarah comforting Theo and accuses her of having an affair with him; how will Sarah respond, knowing the truth about both Todd and Theo?
Theo Is Distraught
Theo is upset later, telling Todd that he has ruined his family and needs to make things right. When Danielle finds Sarah again, she demands to know Theo’s whereabouts, but an irritated Sarah suggests she should talk to Todd instead.
In the factory, Theo gathers his tools and tells Todd they should avoid each other from now on; however, when Danielle shows up, will she catch them together?
Meanwhile, Sarah opens up to Kit about her past with Todd, and when David Platt discovers that Sarah is dating Kit, he becomes furious. Are Sarah and Todd headed for intense confrontations regarding their relationships?
Daisy’s Secret Also At Risk, Thanks To Her Unreliable Mom
Daisy Midgeley’s (Charlotte Jordan) secret is in jeopardy because of her unpredictable mother, Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins). Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Mathhews) is excited when Dom Norwood (Dominick Rickhards) shows up at the Rovers, but Daisy is taken aback.
Christina reveals that this is all part of her scheme. When Dom claims that anyone who invests in his business could double their money, Jenny finds herself intrigued. This is all part of her being deceived online, and both Christina and Daisy are delighted when Jenny chooses to invest.
Daniel Is Taken Aback
Daisy is excited about the prospect of getting Jenny’s money. She informs an unaware Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) that an aunt is giving her some cash, which she plans to use for them to begin a fresh start away from Weatherfield.
Will Daniel be on board with this idea; meanwhile, Daisy and Christina are taken aback to learn that Dom spent the night with Jenny, but Jenny insists they only talked.
When Daniel and Daisy arrive at the hotel for a couple’s massage, Daniel is taken aback to see Christina with Dom! Will he find out what really happened?
Romance Finds Julie Carp
Terminally ill Julie chooses to spend the fundraiser money on a trip to the Lakes. While at the café, she experiences significant pain, prompting Roy to offer her a heated wheat sack, which he says his late wife, Hayley Cropper, found helpful.
Overwhelmed, Julie starts to cry; later, when Brian Packham shares his feelings for Julie with Roy, Roy encourages him to express his emotions to her.
Unfortunately, when the minibus breaks down, the trip to the Lakes is called off; despite this setback, Julie expresses her gratitude for being with her friends and family.
Ignoring George’s warning to be cautious, Brian boldly professes his love for Julie, stating he wants to stay by her side until the very end.
Will Eileen Stick With George?
Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) is frustrated with George for attempting to undermine Brian and Julie’s chance at happiness, instructing him to sleep on the couch as a consequence.
As Eileen’s uncertainty about her future with George deepens, Julie advises her to be with someone who truly brings her joy, urging her not to accept anything less than what she deserves.
Will Eileen decide to end her relationship with George? And is there hope for a reunion between Julie and Brian?
