Coronation Street spoilers and updates for the week of May 19 tease a cop suffers a traumatic brain injury, another clashes with a old friend-new rival, a mom’s kidnapped and more!
Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) suffers a TBI, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) and Mick Michaelis (Joe Layton) clash, Bernie Winters (Jane Hazelgrove) is kidnapped in retaliation, and more!
Craig’s Horrible Placement Outcome
Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) ends up in a dangerous situation at the worst time, leading to serious injuries; will he survive? Excited to start his CID placement with Kit, Craig arrives eager to work, but Kit mostly ignores him, leaving Craig feeling down.
Motivated by Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) to show his worth, Craig decides to respond to a disturbance call by himself, but it goes horribly wrong.
Weatherfield is shocked when Craig is discovered covered in blood, and Lisa is appalled by his injuries-as he is taken to intensive care, doctors find swelling in his brain.
Craig briefly wakes up and tries to explain what happened, he goes downhill; with his life at stake, will Craig survive, will he be able to share the truth about the incident?
Kit And Mick’s Tumultuous Clash
Kit and Mick Michaelis have another confrontation, where the cop reveals that Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) may not be as loyal as Mick thinks. This infuriates Mick, leading him to confront Lou, resulting in Lou getting hurt.
Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) worry when they can’t contact Lou, prompting Sean to change his police statement to say Mick attacked him and left him for dead.
As Mick loses control, he blames Kit and cuts off all communication, deciding to handle things himself.
Meanwhile, Lou plans to escape Weatherfield with her daughters after a nurse suspects her injury is due to abuse, but Mick is already ahead of her.
Bernie’s Kidnapped, A Search Starts For Lou
In the meantime, Mick believes Kit has destroyed his life and aims to set a trap for him; his grudge escalates as he kidnaps Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove). He keeps her captive in a deserted area as bait, demanding that Kit come alone.
Bernie, terrified, pleads for her life and shares that she tried to reach out to Kit years ago, but his mother stopped her; will Kit finally forgive his mother and rescue her?
Meanwhile, Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) is still caring for Shanice and Joanie Michaelis, (both uncredited) raising concerns about Lou’s safety, last seen escaping from A&E after a nurse suspected abuse.
Now she has completely disappeared-as the police start their search, the pressure increases to find her while Mick’s behavior becomes increasingly unstable; where could she be?
Everyone Comes Together To Support Craig
As Craig’s health remains in a precarious state, Lisa anxiously takes a call from Jess Haywood (Donnaleigh Bailey) at the hospital, eagerly awaiting updates.
Meanwhile, Tim, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor), Gemma, and Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) unite to provide support to one another during this tragic time. Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment) also shares the distressing news with Craig’s mother, Beth Tinker (Lisa George) about Craig’s situation.
As the community grapples with the fallout from Craig’s assault, it is crucial for everyone to rally together and lend support. As to the question if Craig lives or dies, actor Colson Smith announced that he’d been axed several months ago; Craig’s fate remains to be seen.
