‘Coronation Street’ Spoilers Weekly Update Sept 8-12: 18th Birthday Shock, Car Thief Caught, Pregnancy Mystery!

Coronation Street spoilers for the week of September 8 tease an eighteenth birthday shock, a car thief caught, and a pregnancy mystery! Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) gets a shock for Betsy Swain’s (Sydney Martin) 18th birthday, Dylan Wilson’s (Liam McCheyne) recognized stealing a car, and there’s a pregnancy mystery at the Platt house!

Eighteenth Birthday Shock

It’s Betsy Swain’s (Sydney Martin) 18th birthday, and she has been out celebrating all night. Upon returning for her party, the drinks are abundant, and Betsy raises a toast to the picture of her late mother, Becky (uncast).

She emphasizes that she is no longer a little girl and shares that she spent the night with Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne).

In the precinct, Betsy leaves voice messages for both Dylan and Lisa, but before she can complete her message, a loud crash interrupts her.

The next day, we will find Lisa in shock from the previous night’s events – but is this related to the crash, or is it something entirely different?

Car Thief Caught

Kevin (Michael Le Vell) and Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) come back from their vacation, but Kev is upset to see Carl still working at the garage. He tells him to leave by the end of the day.

Carl is having a hard time paying off blackmailer Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), and he informs Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) and Dylan he has a job for them. Later, Dylan and Brody race past George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) in a stolen vehicle, and George recognizes Dylan.

As one local lies critically injured in the hospital after the crash, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) discloses they located the car, but it has been set on fire to hide the evidence.

George Busts Dylan, Dylan Denies It

George tells Dylan he witnessed him driving the car, but Dylan insists he is mistaken. Meanwhile, a lovestruck Abi is puzzled to see Dylan’s name on Carl’s caller ID, and Carl confesses that Dylan and Brody have been stealing cars for him. How will Abi respond, and who did Dylan and Brody hit with the car?

Is the victim a stranger, a new visitor to town, or a possible relative of someone’s they know? Could the mystery patient be someone from Lisa’s past, therefore accounting for her shock?

Pregnancy Mystery!

Elsewhere, David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) is shocked by a scandalous claim regarding a mysterious pregnancy test. Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) tells her father David that she has a stomach ache, but he doubts her and sends her off to school.

When he complains to Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) about Lily getting into fights over a boy and trying to avoid school, Sarah becomes worried.

However, as David gets frustrated again about Carla Connor (Alison King) throwing trash in his bin, he discovers a pregnancy test and shows it to Sarah, thinking it belongs to Betsy.

David Is Horrified

He is horrified when Sarah suggests it could be Lily’s test. Later, David reacts when the owner of the pregnancy test reveals herself, but can they keep it a secret? And is Sarah’s theory right?

Lily did complain of a stomach ache, and that could indicate early pregnancy and morning sickness. Who is the father, and who’s the expectant mother?
