Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates tease that Ellie Leach is leaving the show next week. The actress’s final scenes as Faye Windass are scheduled to air next week. In upcoming episodes, Corrie’s bosses have planned a bittersweet exit for Faye.

Next week, fans will see Faye struggle to face the idea of saying goodbye to Jackson and Miley. They’re set to leave town to start a new life in Slough. They invite her for a farewell dinner but Faye is too heartbroken to attend the final family outing.

Later on, Faye confides in Gary Windass (Mikey North) and admits she wants to go with Jackson and Miley. However, she feels compelled to stay at the cobbles with her current boyfriend Craig Tinder (Colson Smith).

She can’t leave him because he knows something that could send her back to prison. The secret involves Craig covering up the hit-and-run accident committed by Faye and Emma Brooker. The incident left Ted Spear (Duggie Brown) dead back in January 2022.

Towards the end of the week, Faye makes an effort to keep her emotions in check while Jackson and Miley visit to take family photos prior to their departure for Slough.

Craig notices that Faye is upset and tells her not to pass up the opportunity to go with them if she wants to.
Faye immediately takes the offer and packs her bag. She goes with Jackson and Miley, leaving Craig heartbroken.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Ellie Leach Opens Up About Corrie’s Exit

Leach’s exit was revealed back in April. In an interview with the media, the actress opened up about her character’s decision to leave the Cobbles.

“Faye does love Craig, but she’s not in love with him anymore. Jackson came in and said: ‘This is what I want, I want you, I want this family. Come and move with us and we can be a family together,” she said.

“It’s hard for Faye because it’s a question of – do you go with your head or heart?” she continued. “In the final scene, Faye is in the taxi leaving and Craig is walking up the street. Faye asks for them to stop the car and she goes back to Craig, telling him that she loves him, she always has and she always will,” she added.

Leach shared that it was very emotional. Fans know how much they love each other but it’s just not enough to convince Faye to stay.
